Job summary

X4 Pharmaceuticals in Boston is seeking a senior supply chain leader to oversee global clinical and commercial supply continuity, risk management, and cross-functional partnerships. This role drives forecasting, planning, and distribution for clinical and commercial programs with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted supply chains.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in pharma supply chain, a relevant Bachelor's degree, ERP experience, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of clinical and/or commercial manufacturing, supply chain and logistics experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy or related field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Experience coordinating with Third Party Logistics, Finance, accounting and vendors.
  • Experience with ERPs and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own global clinical and commercial supply continuity and risk management processes.
  • Lead cross-functional partnerships with Quality, Regulatory, Technical and Clinical teams.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations to forecast supply needs and site rollouts.
  • Lead Integrated Business Process to monitor demand and plan supply.
  • Plan and implement activities for packaging, labeling, shipping, cold chain and distribution.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and ensure inventory at minimum levels and costs.
  • Develop SOPs and processes to support global supply chain.
  • Manage budget, POs and invoices for supply chain activities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for global clinical and commercial supply continuity and risk management processes, owning and assessing supplychain plans and inventories.
  • Drive and lead cross-functional partnerships with Quality, Regulatory, Technical and Clinical partners
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations to forecast initial and ongoing clinical drug supply needs and demand assumptions (enrollment rates, number of sites, number of countries, etc.) and assure successful start-up of and distribution to clinical sites.
  • Lead Integrated Business Process (IBP) to monitor clinical and commercial demand and plan supply accordingly; evolve process, as needed, to meet current business needs.
  • Plan and implementactivities related to clinical and commercial supply chain,custom clearance, cost management, storage, warehousing, distribution, procurement, logistics, forecast, inventory control, data management, and production planning.
  • Ensure the availability of commercial productinventory in the supply chain,as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels and cost applying risk-based review of the supply chain.
  • Coordinate with Third Party Logistics/Finance/Accounting for invoices and inventory carryingcosts.
  • Manage and maintain commercial serialization across all territories.
  • Partner with QualityAssurance to enableglobal acceptance of clinical & commercial material and ensure compliance across all stages of supply chain management.
  • Manage and oversee development of SOPs and necessary processes and procedures to support globalsupply chain.
  • Develop and manage plans for clinical and commercial packaging/labeling processes, shipping authorization, import/export licenses, cold chain global distribution, etc. to ensure continuity of supply
  • Coordinate artwork and packaging design for printedpackaging components throughexternal suppliers for all markets
  • Manage supply and relationship with multiple distribution partners (global partnerships utilizing both clinical and commercial material).
  • Work as part of cross-functional team to develop EAP/PTA strategy across all indications and territories.
  • Manage budget, contractual obligations, purchase ordersand invoices for supply chain
What You Will Bring:
  • Minimum of 12 years of clinical and/or commercial manufacturing, supply chain and logistics work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degreein Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology
  • National and international travel will be required (20%)
  • Commercial Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics
  • Managing/interacting with Third Party Logistics, Client Services, Wholesale and Retail Warehouses, Customers, Vendors, Finance, Accounting
  • Supply Chain Data Analysis
  • Experience with ERPs
  • Skilled in MicrosoftOffice, including Outlook,Excel and PowerPoint

This position is based in Boston, MA, and offers a flexible hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days/week in the office.
