Circana is seeking a Sr. Directors, Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of custom applications for the data analytics and CPG sectors. The role oversees onshore and offshore teams, shaping technical visions and aligning with stakeholders across multiple worksites in the U.S.

HQ is in Chicago, IL. The position emphasizes modern UI, Java, Python, ML and cloud deployment, with a strong focus on engineering excellence and scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in software development.
• Hands-on software development experience in data analytics.
• 2 years leading and guiding technical IT teams.
• Experience with UI frameworks/interfaces, Java, Python, Node.js/Angular, React.js.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and scalability.

Job Description

Sr. Directors, Software Engineer for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Lead the process to design, architect, and deliver custom applications and solutions for CPG and data analytics industry. Manage IT development teams, including offshore resources. Architect, design, and develop custom web applications from concept to delivery. Oversee the entire application lifecycle from initial concept through deployment and support, and launch custom applications and solutions from scratch. Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and refine solutions. Build and maintain high-performing teams to execute technical visions. Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and engineering excellence. Manage onshore and offshore teams. Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Technical Skills: Software development concepts and software architecture designs and principles; modern UI frameworks, Java development, Agile development methodologies, working with large datasets & business intelligence solutions; cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies; machine Learning; Python; node.js/Angular, React.js; high volume web platforms; cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), scalability and deployment strategies.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in software development required. Required Skills: Must have hands-on software development experience in data analytics; 2 years experience leading and guiding technical IT teams; demonstrated experience with software architecture designs/principles; Experience with UI frameworks/interfaces, Java development; machine Learning; Python; node.js/Angular, React.js; high-volume web platforms; cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), scalability and deployment strategies; demonstrated experience contributing to innovation, continuous improvement & engineering excellence. Telecommuting permitted. (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus 9 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or in software development also acceptable.)

Salary $202,779 USD annually. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
