Job summary

Circana is seeking an Analyst, Consumer Insights (Foodservice) in Chicago, IL. You will support the foodservice team by addressing business questions, creating reports, and servicing a large global account as well as U.S.-based accounts.

You will develop analyses in Excel/PowerPoint, review data across multiple countries, and contribute to revenue goals while increasing Circana’s value for clients. This hybrid role requires strong communication and data skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the foodservice team in managing day-to-day activities to enhance client relationships, including sharing analyses and training clients to drive adoption of Circana’s data.
• Master the format and structure of multiple databases, maintain definitions, review labels for consistency across databases.
• Build relationships with client contacts, including on-site presence at the client’s headquarters one day per week.
• Partner with account leads and cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that support sale and delivery of Circana’s solutions.
• Understand clients’ strategies and attend/present insights at meetings.
• Proactively identify meaningful trends in Circana’s data and share findings internally and externally.
• Create and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly key insights presentations.

What will you be doing?

The Analyst within the foodservice division provides support to their team by helping to address business questions using Circana’s many datasets. The analyst handles report creation, and the day-to-day servicing of a large global account as well as other U.S.-based accounts. The work encompasses managing projects that flow across multiple countries; reviewing, consolidating, and analyzing data; developing analyses in Excel and PowerPoint; problem solving; participating in client meetings; contributing to revenue goals; and increasing Circana’s value with clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to the foodservice team in managing the day-to-day activities to enhance client relationships, including but not limited to, sharing analyses on specific topics, answering relevant client questions, training/educating clients to drive adoption and usage of Circana’s strategic data sets, etc.
• Master format and structure of multiple databases, maintain custom definitions, review and clean output, and ensure accurate and consistent labels from database-to-database
• Build and nurture relationships with client contacts, as one of the onsite team member from Circana working at the client’s corporate headquarters (1 day per week), partnering with clients in multiple foodservice functions including insights, strategy, and menu
• Partner with account leads and cross-functional departments to drive initiatives which support the sale and delivery of Circana’s solutions
• Understand our clients’ organizations and their business strategies, objectives, and challenges. Attend/present insights at client meetings.
• Proactively search for meaningful trends within Circana’s proprietary data and share findings with both internal and external audiences
• Problem-solve and maintain relationships with adaptability, urgency, and positivityManage creation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly ongoing “key insights” presentations and/or deliverables

Requirements

• First experience within a similar position in an FMCG, Foodservice, Retailers or Market Research firm
• Experience in all MS Office products
• Intermediate to advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Circana data tools is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work across various data sets and reporting tools is a must
• Able to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Very strong oral and written communication skills; Confident in presenting to groups
• Highly detail oriented – with commitment to total quality and data accuracy

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $56000 to $67500
