Job Description

The Sr. Director, Quality Assurance, will provide leadership to the Health & Nutrition, and Life Sciences North America business units, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and exceeding customer quality expectations.

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Quality group, focusing on continuous improvement of quality system programs
  • Establish and deploy Quality policies uniformly across the organization
  • Promote a customer-focused quality culture through education, motivation, and empowerment of employees
  • Ensure effective establishment and maintenance of processes for the QMS; report on its performance and effectiveness to executive management
  • Increase awareness of regulatory and QMS requirements throughout the organization
  • Ensure site readiness for inspections and audits, supporting global regulatory inspections and third-party audits
  • Analyze and report on QMS compliance and performance to the Global Head of Quality
  • Identify critical compliance or business issues, develop remediation strategies, and implement tactical plans using risk management
  • Develop response plans for third-party/customer audit findings
  • Conduct investigations and internal audits for the Global Quality Excellence team
  • Identify and report potential risks impacting service and business operations
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Extensive knowledge and experience managing GMP
  • 15+ years in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry
  • 7+ years managing Quality Assurance teams at the Director level
  • Strong communication, leadership, and management skills
  • Successful track record with FDA and Health Authority inspections
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in technology transfer and contract research management
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours and travel occasionally to lab sites
