Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. in California seeks a Sr.

Director, Project Execution to lead a high‑level team focused on quality, schedule and safety in the North American energy storage market, covering Utility-scale and C&I projects. You will partner with BESS Strategy, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales and Product Development to drive growth, governance of the product roadmap, operational excellence, and executive reporting to guide decisions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree as specified in the job description.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience leading or managing project teams.
• Minimum 7+ years in energy storage (BESS), renewable energy, power utilities, or energy consulting.
• Deep understanding of the North American power sector and interconnection/regulatory requirements.
• Proven cross-functional leadership across front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter energy storage projects.

The successful candidate will partner closely withBESS Strategy,Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, andProduct Developmentteams to establish and drive the long-term growth strategy, product roadmap governance, operational excellence initiatives, and executive reporting processesto guide executive-level decision-making and product roadmap orientation. This role requires a highly strategic leader withstrong project execution background, cross-functional leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of the BESS industry.

Responsibilities

• ProjectExecutionPlanning:Define and formulateprocess and strategy for industry leadingexecutionfor the North American BESS
• Market Intelligence & Policy Analysis:Understandingvarious requirements from differing utilities to ISOs to ensure smoothinterconnection andexaction.
• Competitive Analysis:Evaluate top-tier BESS System Integrators (SIs), hardware/software vendors, and developers to benchmark our competitive positioning and identify product or partnership gaps.
• Cross-Functional Alignment:Work closely withBESS Strategy, Procurement,Product Developmentand Sales teams to align strategic market requirements with technology roadmaps and commercial operations.
• Team Leadership:Direct and mentor ahighlytechnical team.Identify criticalskillsand build up a teamto ensure businesscontinuity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Policy, Engineering, Economics, or Finance
• Minimum 15+ years of experience leading or managing project teams.
• Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in energy storage (BESS), renewable energy, power utilities, or energy consulting.
• Deep understanding of the North American power sector, including AHJ, interconnection and regulatory requirements.
• Strong comprehension of the business models and value propositions for both Utility-scale (front-of-the-meter) and C&I (behind-the-meter) energy storage projects.
• Proven track record of working effectively within a corporate structure, with demonstrated success in managing reporting lines and stakeholder relationships across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at top-tier BESS developers, IPPs, Utilities, or BESS SIs

Compensation

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is:

• Zone 1 (Bay Area, NYC): $263,300 – $329,200
• Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $241,300 – $301,700
• Zone 3 (All others): $219,400 – $274,300

The applicable salary range is based on the employee’s primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
