Job description

Job Description - Sr Director, Pricing (26010177)

MoneyGram is one of the most trusted and recognized brands in global payments, serving over 50 million customers a year across 200+ countries through nearly 500,000 retail locations and a rapidly expanding digital ecosystem. We're driving a bold transformation, building the next generation of cross‑border payments with both fiat and stablecoin capabilities at scale.

We are seeking a leader in Pricing to define, build, and optimize the pricing strategy that powers MoneyGram’s global omnichannel remittance services as well as new product pricing in areas, like crypto. You will lead the operating model that balances revenue growth, contribution margin, and customer value across corridors, channels, and customer lifecycles. This is a highly visible role at the core of MoneyGram’s commercial engine, with direct impact on financial performance and long‑term value creation.

This role reports to the EVP of Growth and Partnerships.

What you will lead
Pricing P&L Ownership and Strategy
  • Own global pricing as a true P&L, accountable for revenue, contribution margin, take rate, and profitability across corridors, channels, and customer segments.
  • Define enterprise‑wide pricing strategy that aligns business objectives—growth, margin optimization, customer acquisition, and retention—with market dynamics and competitive positioning.
  • Set pricing objectives and guardrails that balance short‑term performance with long‑term customer value and brand trust.
Pricing Models, Economics & Testing
  • Oversee the development and application of pricing models covering FX spreads, fees, corridor economics, elasticity, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Lead pricing experimentation, including A/B testing, pilots, cohort‑based pricing, and lifecycle‑driven offers to continuously optimize performance.
  • Translate economic shifts into actionable pricing strategies and changes that drive measurable financial outcomes.
Performance Management & Forecasting
  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that track pricing performance, revenue quality, margin stability, and customer behavior.
  • Partner with Finance and Analytics to forecast pricing impacts, quantify trade‑offs, and support business planning and investment decisions.
  • Ensure leadership has clear visibility into pricing drivers, risks, and opportunities across the global portfolio.
Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership
  • Act as the pricing thought leader and executive partner across the Business, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Compliance teams.
  • Build a deep relationship with Treasury to manage the FX rate inputs to the pricing system.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data‑backed recommendations and structured decision frameworks.
  • Build and develop high‑performing pricing talent and foster a culture that treats pricing as a core general management discipline.
Who you are
Experience
  • 10+ years in pricing within fintech, payments, or related domains.
  • Strong background in growth and transformation business environments.
Capabilities
  • Deep understanding of pricing economics, including FX‑based pricing, fees, elasticity, corridor‑level performance, and customer segmentation.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, paired with the ability to translate insights into clear strategic and operational decisions.
  • Comfortable leading experimentation and using data to inform continuous optimization.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to explain complex technical/financial concepts simply.
  • High bias for action; thrives in fast‑moving, evolving environments.
Leadership Profile
  • Customer‑centric and data‑driven thinker.
  • Balances strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
  • Builds systems that scale globally while empowering local teams.
  • Clear, structured communicator; excellent cross‑functional collaborator.
