Job Description

At MoneyGram, we're combining the strength of a trusted global brand with the agility of a tech-forward, growth driven culture. With 80+ years of experience and a presence in more than 200 countries and territories, we've built a foundation of stability and trust to help millions of people around the world send funds quickly, securely, and affordably.

We're looking for bold thinkers, builders, technologists, and sellers who want real ownership of their work, thrive in collaborative environments, and are energized by solving complex challenges. Here, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact - fast.

If you're eager to shape the future of cross-border payments and financial services, join us as we transform how the world moves money.

We are seeking a versatile product analytics team member to support our growing product and engineering teams. In this role, you will help drive rapid, data-driven insights to inform product decisions around experiments, features, and product direction related to our core money transfer digital product. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates based in the US, offering the opportunity to work globally and influence product strategy across multiple areas of MoneyGram's product and technology offerings.

MoneyGram is in a period of rapid transformation through its re-founding. Examples of companies who successfully re-founded themselves are Microsoft, Apple, and Uber. We are looking for re-founders who can step into MoneyGram and help drive a fundamental reinvention of our strategy, culture, and ways of working while staying true to our mission. MoneyGram is a PE-backed private company building towards a near-term IPO.

What you will get to do as Senior, Data Analyst – Product Analytics

  • Analytics Re-Invention: AI has become the fundamental building block of many new platforms built in the last few years. You are willing to go beyond anything you've ever done before and rethink analytics from the ground up. "It's been done this way before" is not a benefit, but a defect.
  • Customer Experience and Product Performance: Craft and evolve the view of the customer experience through analytics and product metrics.
  • Experimentation & Optimization: Support and guide experimental frameworks (A/B tests, holdouts, geo testing, etc.) to measure the incremental impact of product presentation and feature releases. Partner with product and engineering to design data-driven insights that accelerate performance and growth. Provide stakeholders with the ability to measure the success of feature or functionality rollouts by pulling and organizing data into cohorts and measuring metrics based on cohort performance.
  • Insights & Reporting: Analyze and develop key insights into partner and customer behaviors and pain points to uncover opportunities for an improved experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — from Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Regional/International teams — to align analytics initiatives with business goals. Use data to advise on go-to-market strategies for new product launches and to identify new growth opportunities and solutions to business challenges.
  • Technology & Automation: Champion best-in-class analytics tools and processes. Work with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering to implement and leverage analytics platforms (BI tools, tag management, automation via APIs) that enhance product efficiency and scale. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in product analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to improve our capabilities and methodologies.

What you will need to be successful

  • Product Analytics Expertise: 3–5+ years of experience in analytics or a related quantitative field, with meaningful focus on product analytics in a B2C or technology-driven company. Demonstrated ability to drive insights that directly inform product strategy and user experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands‑on skills in data analysis. Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets. Familiarity with analytics programming is a plus.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Strong experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools; Looker preferred, or similar BI platforms.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Analytical thinker with an understanding of experiment design. Able to uncover insights from data and translate them into actionable recommendations and measurable results.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to distill technically complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled at visual representation of insights, documenting, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally and with stakeholders across the organization. Ability to build strong relationships with team members and technical partners and advise or partner with colleagues across varying backgrounds.
  • High-Growth & Global Experience: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment. Global experience and the ability to shape insights for a global audience is highly valued.
  • Industry Background: Experience in direct-to-consumer online businesses is preferred; fintech or financial services experience is a strong. A passion for evolving products and using data to enhance the customer experience is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor's or equivalent practical experience in analytics. An advanced degree or relevant industry certifications in analytics is a bonus.

Join us to shape a data-driven product strategy and drive efficient, rapid growth at scale. If you are excited about building a world-class product analytics function and unlocking new growth opportunities with data, we'd love to hear from you.
