Job Description

LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) is the largest and fastest growing B2B Advertising Platform at scale in the world, with revenue north of $6B+. We help organizations grow. The LMS engineering team is responsible for building and scaling the technology stack that powers our advertising business including advertiser experiences, ad serving platform and ad products.

The Audience, Identity, & Measurement team drives impactful B2B marketing by streamlining sales and marketing alignment through automated workflows. They empower advertisers to precisely target high-value audiences using LinkedIn's rich professional data, while developing innovative measurement and media buying solutions, validating ROI through on-platform and third-party testing to provide data-driven insights for campaign performance. The team emphasizes user privacy, advocating for data minimization, embedding privacy-by-design principles, monitoring compliance with privacy laws, and coordinating closely with legal, engineering, data, and marketing teams.

As a Sr. Director of Engineering Audience, Identity, & Measurement, you will lead a team of applied researchers, ML/AI, and full stack engineers solving cutting-edge problems to enable businesses to reach, engage, and convert professional audiences at scale. You will build a strong technology-driven culture, oversee top talent, and develop industry-leading AI solutions for the advertising ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Build and ship software, drive architectural decisions and implementation across LMS teams.
  • Drive adoption of innovative solutions and methods for marketing products.
  • Lead cross-team discussions and align on product/technology strategy.
  • Define quality and efficiency standards for software systems, developing best practices that balance impact, operational efficiency, and cost.
  • Serve as a domain expert influencing technology choices.
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of craftsmanship and innovation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, or related).
  • 15+ years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in AI/ML with applications in advertising.
  • Experience designing scalable, reliable marketing technology infrastructure, especially data pipelines, event systems, and integration across adtech, CRM, and analytics.
  • Proven track record delivering solutions for high QPS systems with large data volumes.
  • Experience managing teams of 100+ individuals and first/second-line managers, inspiring high performance and collaboration.
  • Understanding of large-scale systems and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, distributed stores, streaming, recommender systems, statistical methods, experimental design).
  • Motivated to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, transforming vague problems into well-defined solutions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Publications and patents are highly desirable.
