Job Title: Senior Director, Insurance Institutional Sales
Location: Chicago, IL (In-Office with Flexible Remote Days)

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Director, Insurance Institutional Sales to join our Insurance Sales and Solutions Team in Chicago. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced relationship manager with deep expertise in the insurance sector and a strategic mindset. This role involves managing existing relationships, acquiring new clients, and serving as a trusted advisor by delivering tailored financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Business Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed insurance sales objectives, directly contributing to business expansion.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with new and existing insurance clients in the finance and investment verticals.
- Strategic Consulting: Collaborate with internal Solutions Team to analyze complex client business challenges, propose innovative banking solutions, and influence strategic decisions.
- Product Strategy: Design comprehensive client engagement strategies to promote and grow adoption of financial products including advances, MPF, LOCs, CICA/AHP, and non-credit services.
- Market Presence: Represent the organization at industry conferences and client events, driving engagement and expanding sector-specific expertise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to structure sophisticated financial solutions that address client needs.
- Thought Leadership: Negotiate complex credit arrangements and contribute ideas for new business opportunities and service enhancements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA in finance or banking preferred.
- Experience:
- 15+ years in executive-level roles within banking, insurance, or marketing at a financial institution.
- 10+ years of senior leadership and relationship management experience.
- 10+ years negotiating complex credit deals including interest rates, terms, and collateral.
- Skills:
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and business development.
- Strong knowledge of finance and insurance industry regulations and trends.
- Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and sales abilities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Other:
- Willingness to travel 30-45% for regional client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a formal credit or financial rotational program.
- Prior experience in investment banking, asset management, or credit analysis.
- Demonstrated success in creating and delivering high-impact sales presentations.
Compensation: $250,000 Salary
