SUMMARY:

The Sr Dir Marketing, through practical and visionary leadership working with an Alliance Partner is responsible for 1) setting the overall Rexulti MDD, and if approved, PTSD marketing vision and developing transformative strategies to drive exceptional business growth for the brand, 2) developing enhanced marketing capabilities specific to Rexulti, 3) Leadership of the Rexulti MDD HCP marketing team across the customer journey. The Sr Dir is responsible for leveraging marketing expertise, exceling at managing innovative and impactful initiatives, while inspiring, developing and leading a high performing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Vision and Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of US Rexulti MDD, and if approved, PTSD Marketing vision and strategy, based on key insights, in collaboration with Alliance partners, and key cross functional leadership partners while achieving financial targets
  • Ensure full alignment of Rexulti MDD and, if approved, PTSD Marketing vision and strategy (with a primary focus on HCP), with Senior Leadership and cross functional commercial partners to produce high quality marketing efforts that achieve company performance objectives
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for HCPs in conjunction with the overall consumer strategy.
  • Responsible for all aspects of long-range marketing plans, life cycle management including accountability for strategic planning and the achievement of financial goals
  • Monitor trends and benchmark activities, integrating emerging marketing solutions with consideration for business/customer needs and evolve strategy over time to meet the changing landscape
  • Responsible for setting the prioritization of HCP marketing initiatives in conjunction with consumer initiatives, and ensure these initiatives provide maximum return on investment
  • Act as an ambassador, promoting the company’s mission and vision both internally and externally. Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, media outlets, and external partners to enhance company presence.

Marketing Capabilities And Processes

  • Lead ongoing analysis of HCP marketing capabilities and make recommendations to BU Head, Alliance Sr Leadership as well as USLT and key Global Leadership to ensure competitiveness
  • Foster and drive an accountability and performance-based culture and mindset within BU and cross functionally
  • Lead efforts to incorporate strategic, business ownership mentality within marketing and with cross functional partners
  • Oversee the strategy, planning and implementation of integrated, omnichannel marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and emerging platforms, ensuring seamless customer experiences and engagement. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize media and marketing efforts that drive growth and deliver business objectives
  • Direct and monitor operational performance with the HCP marketing team. Partner with Advanced Analytics, review budgets and performance metrics and take actions necessary to drive performance to meet designed business goals for the brand
  • Clearly define design standards and processes for brand planning, and embed within the annual brand planning cycle
  • Ensure all HCP marketing materials and campaigns are compliant with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines, maintaining the company’s reputation for integrity and trust
  • Driven to build a best-in-class marketing organization

Leader of People

  • Serves as a member of BU Senior Leadership team
  • Collaborates with a diverse group of stakeholders, including key senior leaders across the organization and alliance partner to represent and align BU marketing priorities and strategy
  • Establishes clear expectations, sets objectives and collaborates to bring cross-functional teams together to drive urgency and prioritization of key initiatives.
  • Develops, manages and empowers a team of marketers who design and support the execution of programs that drive growth and propel business objectives at a customer segment and/or product/service level
  • Ensures employees are provided with coaching and development to maximize business results and personal growth, so that employees feel engaged and committed to Lundbeck and our patients
  • Proactively develops talent and ensures the organization has the required capabilities to achieve current and future business objectives
  • Champions a high performing culture of curiosity, adaptability and accountability

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And SKILLS:

  • 12+ years of biopharmaceutical commercial experience (i.e sales, marketing, or market access)
  • 8+ years of brand marketing experience, including digital marketing, omnichannel strategy, and digital transformation
  • 3+ years of experience in people leadership and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven expertise in marketing strategy, including developing transformative marketing strategies, planning, execution, and analytics
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Enterprise mindset focused on delivering measurable and sustainable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated relationship management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Track record of influencing across the organization to drive results and business growth
  • Experience in developing and managing business analysis for strategic planning and initiatives, including identifying key issues, evaluating competitive market trends, tracking results, and formulating recommendations for leadership
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And SKILLS:

  • Accredited MBA or Master's Degree
  • Launch experience
  • Commercial functional knowledge
  • Media planning and management experience to achieve ROI targets

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time is required. Travel is primarily domestic, but occasional international travel is required.
  • If based remotely, additional travel will be required to Deerfield, IL, to meet the needs of the role and the business

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $275,000 - $310,000 and eligibility for a 30% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan. Benefits for this position include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, and company match 401k.
