Job Summary:
The Sr. Director, Donor Communications (SDDC) oversees the donor experience strategies and implementation across all Hope Media Group brands. This role is responsible for leading and championing the teams that provide outbound donor community stewardship, mass donor stewardship (digital and print) communications, direct mail solicitations, Support Drive donor communications, and ad hoc donor communications. The SDDC also plays a key role in multi-channel harmony for Engagement 365. This role is part of the Donor Engagement Leadership Team and reports to the Chief of Donor Engagement. This role is one of the primary leaders responsible for donor retention rates and the donor escalation pathway. This person is attentive to donor’s spiritual needs, while helping to ensure their team does the same. The SDDC prays with donors as needed.
Essential Functions
Donor Engagement:
- Build and implement a strategic and harmonious multi-channel donor communications experience for each unique donor community.
- Participate in Support Drive planning by supporting the on-air event components with print and digital donor communications.
- Partner with Programming, Marketing and others to facilitate a comprehensive Engagement 365 messaging across all platforms
- Develop a comprehensive outbound donor stewardship program
- Set and achieve an annual revenue goal for the direct mail program (general fund and inspiration fund)
- Lead the strategy for the general donor community (by brand) stewardship events and partner with the donor engagement project manager(s) on the execution of each event.
Leadership & Budget Management:
- Partner with all ministry areas to help them accomplish their tasks while exercising sound financial judgement
- Hire, manage, evaluate, motivate and develop staff
- Provide coaching, training and tools for successful accomplishment of team and ministry objectives
- Responsible for activities of the donor experience staff
- Plans and coordinates projects, processes, and deadlines
- Actively participate in projects that are aligned with ministry objectives
- Onboarding new employees on the donor system, function and services
- Manage Day-to-Day operations of the Donor Communications team
- Develops and maintains the budget for the department in tandem with the Director of Donor Operations and the Chief of Donor Engagement
Demonstrated Faith:
- Pray for coworkers in team meetings or with donors/listeners as needed.
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies.
- Attend weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the organization.
- Participate in On-Air fundraising and pray for donors over the phone as needed

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in development/fundraising for non-profit organizations
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in leadership/program management
- Experience with direct mail and digital campaigns
- Experience with multi-level marketing strategies
- Experience with relational databases
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Heart for Christian ministry
- Strong moral character
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
- Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Immediate supervision over a unit, section or department. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews, and applies company policies.
