Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director, Product within the Global Sales & Services Operations team to drive the future vision of the sales tool suite. Responsibilities

  • Establish strong partnerships with business units, IT, and vendors for requirements and implementation.
  • Coordinate adoption and standardized practices across the sales organization with technology enablement.
  • Communicate plans and progress to senior leadership; advocate strategic solutions with ROI impact.
  • Serve as SME and representative for all owned products across the enterprise.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess product effectiveness, ROI.

Job description

Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales and services priorities and works with sales and services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales and services teams, which drive approximately $5.3B in Contract Value (CV). You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support global sales and services teams comprised of nearly 9,000 associates who sell to and service every major function across the enterprise

About this role:

The Sr. Director, Product is part of the Global Sales & Services Technology (GSST) team in GSSO. The team is responsible for developing and executing the future vision and roadmap of a sales tool suite that empowers Sales & Services with intuitive tools and actionable insight to improve efficiency, enhance collaboration, and drive client retention and CV growth.

This Digital Product Management team is at the center of sales technology processes and AI-led transformation of key seller activities, with an additional focus on account team collaboration.

This role requires an understanding of the lifecycle of a tech focused product roadmap, leveraging data and emerging capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation to simplify our sales processes and enhance the seller experience.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into innovative tech, by building a compelling product vision, and driving that implementation with IT.

What you'll do:
  • Take full ownership of the future roadmap, planning, development, and execution of products that support client facing activities for Sales & Service.
  • Partner closely with the technology team to improve the development lifecycle of products and ensure all business requirements are met for key initiatives (in partnership with Sales Process team)
  • Manage maintenance and enhancements of the current product platforms, while planning for and executing the future vision of these products.
  • Partner with Team NCVI to understand the processes, data, and systems supporting Sales, Services, BTI etc. with their clients/ prospects interactions. Promote ways in which product development work can be prioritized to provide the greatest impact to customers, alignment with the strategy and positive financial results.
  • Lead opportunities to evolve technology, tools and content, leveraging deep customer insights, to simplify the user experience, improve account team collaboration and deliver high-quality products for our clients/prospects throughout their Client Journey.
  • Demonstrate understanding of innovative tools and technology products in the market, with an emphasis on the AI space, that will drive the form of the products and their ability to solve complex use cases.
  • Establish strong partnerships with business unit leaders (especially in our sales, service and research BUs), IT, and vendors for requirements and implementation exercises.
  • Lead the coordination across stakeholders to ensure the adoption and implementation of the specific products, in addition to standardized processes that will drive consistent best practices across our entire sales organization with technology enabling the adoption.
  • Effectively communicate and garner buy-in from senior leadership on plans and progress for core projects as well as be a trusted and influential voice in delivering strategic solutions that drive senior leadership decision making.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert and representative for all owned products across the enterprise
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the product's effectiveness, efficiency and business impact (ROI)
What you'll need:
  • 12+ years of experience with mix across sales, business operations, technology or analytics; ideally 2+ years of sales experienceand/or experience supporting business processes related to Sales & Service
  • Team leadership experience, ideally managing teams of software product-service owners
  • Knowledge and experience with AI GTM and tools.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize the most critical activities, ensuring that high-impact tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with and influence all team NCVI partners leading efforts to drive partnerships, resolve problems, clarify and interpret complex information, and drive consensus.
  • Knowledge of Sales processes, Customer 360, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce Reports, Dashboards, and CRM Analytics is preferred.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 136,000 USD - 189,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
