The Sr. Director, Company Enablement & Strategy will shape and oversee critical strategic programs to empower our teams for excellence and drive our continued growth. This role will lead all company-wide onboarding initiatives, continuing education, impactful events, company OKR creation process and our flagship leadership development program, Leaders at Their Best. The ideal candidate is a seasoned facilitator, strategic thinker, and influential leader passionate about driving company alignment, enablement and professional growth across the company.
This role will be reporting to the COO, you will work closely with executive leadership, HR, and functional leaders to architect and execute the programs that ensure every employee is aligned, equipped, and empowered to excel in their role, live our values, and exceed goals.
Own the strategy and structure of OpenGov’s company onboarding experience, ensuring new hires across all functions are immersed in our mission, values, product strategy, and customer impact.
Launch and maintain company-wide continuing education offerings focused on OpenGov product knowledge, business strategy, and public sector awareness.
Implement a certification program to elevate internal knowledge and promote alignment across teams.
Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of company-wide events, workshops, and retreats, fostering community, engagement, and alignment with strong budget management.
Own, enhance, and deliver the "Leaders at their Best" leadership development program, facilitating workshops and sessions
Develop metrics and assessments to continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of programs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with senior executives, department heads, and HR teams to align enablement programs with organizational needs and strategic priorities.
Lead and help drive organizational alignment through clear and effective OKR execution and communication.
Oversee a team that will manage in-person onboarding experiences for U.S.-based hires in our SF HQ, and support expansion of onboarding resources globally.
Serve as an expert facilitator, effectively engaging diverse groups through interactive workshops and learning experiences.
Lead our exec coaching program at the company with external partners
Support functional leaders in developing and delivering specialized enablement resources as needed.
10+ years of experience in enablement, learning and development, field operations, or strategy leadership roles
Proven success leading cross-functional enablement programs in high-growth SaaS environments
Executive-level communication skills and strong stakeholder management experience
Experience leading high-impact learning initiatives across multiple roles and departments
Familiarity with OKR methodology, instructional design principles, and corporate event planning
Strong program management, facilitation, and analytical skills
Passion for OpenGov’s mission of powering more effective and accountable government
Prior experience in teaching, training, or instructional design, with specific instructional credentials, is highly desirable.
Proven success in driving the adoption of AI-powered products or processes
Clear examples of increasing the attainment of critical employee certifications within the public sector and/or SaaS industry
Prior leadership of enablement programs across both go-to-market and G&A functions
Experience working with tools such as Guru, Skilljar, LMS platforms, and more
Previous oversight of onboarding or executive leadership development programs
Comfort operating in office environments with a focus on hub-based team structures
$225k - $250k
On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.
The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
