Senior Director, Human Resources at ITOCHU Prominent USA LLC

ITOCHU Prominent USA LLC designs and manufactures unique textiles, apparel and accessories. We have a portfolio of apparel and accessory brands. With our global reach, we work with ITOCHU Corporation to develop Japanese licensing and distribution programs for American and European fashion brands.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Director, Business Systems & IT to join our IT team. Will partner with business units to identify and define enhancements to existing business systems and processes. Support all IT systems, including telecommunications, hardware and software, duplication equipment, and E-commerce sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS include the following:

• Planning, managing, coordinating, implementing and delivering solutions that meet business requirements.
• Translate all business process into existing technologies and new solutions.
• Collaborate with developers to establish the technical solution; analyze the usability and performance of newly developed applications.
• Ensure that business requirements defined are satisfied in system enhancements.
• Manages project team and coordinates with IT team, Itochu International and in-house groups to ensure successful delivery and deadlines are met.
• Analyze the IT needs of the company and establish priorities, modify system to manage data.
• Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems.
• Runs analysis on vendor and departmental performance/data. Examine, draw conclusions, and recommend actions.
• Defines EDI standards and achieve compliance. Implements best practices that maximize departmental efficiencies.
• Manage IT department, including purchasing and budgeting. Monitors expenditures.
• Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures with EVP/CFO and where appropriate CEO.
• Acts as the primary liaison between vendors, sales, accounting and IT departments.
• Assign tasks, objectives, territories, product responsibilities and the like to direct reports, and through coaching, performance evaluation, and feedback, enable those direct reports to perform their duties and to achieve departmental and company objectives.
• Create development plans for staff and identify solutions for any gaps in skills/resources; identify career paths.
• Other projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of business analysis experience with knowledge of retail business; EDI knowledge required, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Must have prior experience of development and implementation of EDI systems.
• Knowledge of BlueCherry and Shopify highly preferred. Skills using SQL or Access to manage and at times manipulate database beneficial.
• Able to think strategically, identify problems, develop practical solutions, and guide implementation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills
