Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, a leading wholesale electricity generator, seeks a Sr. Director of Asset-Level Financing. The role leads a treasury team, structuring tax equity and project-finance transactions across renewables, storage, gas, transmission, pipelines, and residential solar to support company growth.

The incumbent drives strategic financial forecasting, performance analytics, and regulatory/commercial analyses to inform senior leadership decisions and optimize capital allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience and 6+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial modelling capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and long-term financial and economic forecasting strategies.
  • Lead staff with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance financial and economic models in GAAP terms.
  • Consult with business unit leadership on investment impacts.
  • Perform financial and commercial review of contracts and valuations.
  • Develop and improve processes, systems, and metrics reporting.
  • Oversee development of financial‑related rate case documentation.

Sr. Director - Asset-Level Financing

The Sr. Director will be a key member of the Treasury organization, responsible for structuring, executing, and managing tax equity and project finance transactions across renewables, storage, gas plants, transmission, pipelines, and residential solar.

Job Overview

The leader in this role provides strategic management and oversight of financial forecasting and analysis activities, leading a team of professionals to deliver accurate and insightful financial information to senior leadership.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop short- and long-term financial and economic forecasting strategies, including monthly 5‑year strategic forecasts, MOPR short‑term financial forecasts, cash‑flow forecasts, CAPEX updates, and forecast updates to credit rating agencies.
  • Select, develop, and maintain a professional staff with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, providing recommendations and negotiating implementations.
  • Maintain and enhance financial and economic models in accordance with GAAP and regulatory financial statements.
  • Consult with business unit leadership on economic and financial impacts of investment decisions.
  • Perform financial and commercial review of contracts, valuation analyses for potential acquisitions or divestitures, and other analyses as requested by senior leadership.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes, systems, technology, measurement practices, and metrics reporting.
  • Oversee development of financial‑related rate case documentation.
  • Serve as regulatory witness backup or oversee witness backup activities for financial proceedings.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
