The Sr. Director of Revenue Data & Analytics will be a pivotal leader responsible for building the strategy, team, and infrastructure to turn our vast datasets into actionable insights. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team spanning Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Architecture to empower our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams with the intelligence they need to accelerate growth, optimize go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and enhance customer value.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and inspirational leadership. You will be a key partner to the Revenue leadership team and will collaborate extensively with peer data organizations across GitHub and Microsoft to create a cohesive and powerful data ecosystem.

  • Serve as a key member of the Global Revenue Operations leadership team, acting as the primary data evangelist and strategic thought partner to senior GTM leaders.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by making data accessible, understandable, and central to decision-making across all levels of the Revenue team.
  • Establish and own the operating model for how the Revenue team engages with data, from executive-level dashboards to deep-dive ad-hoc analyses.

Data Analytics & Insights:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of robust reporting, dashboards, and analytics that track key GTM performance indicators including pipeline generation, sales velocity, forecasting accuracy, customer retention, and expansion.
  • Deliver deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities in our customer lifecycle, from acquisition and conversion to retention and advocacy.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives and recommendations for an executive audience.

Data Science & Advanced Analytics:

  • Drive the application of advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Lead initiatives to build predictive models for lead scoring, propensity to buy, churn risk, and territory optimization.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to leverage rich product usage data to identify signals for Product-Led Growth (PLG) and expansion opportunities within our sales-led motions.

Data Architecture & Governance:

  • Design, own, and govern the data architecture for the Revenue team's data assets, ensuring a scalable, reliable, and accessible "single source of truth" for all GTM data.
  • Partner closely with GitHub's central data platform teams and Microsoft's data engineering organizations to build efficient and robust data pipelines.
  • Define and implement data quality standards, governance policies, and documentation to ensure data integrity and trust.
