Job summary

Exacta Systems, part of Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of central determinant gaming systems. You will bridge development and operations, streamline deployments, and enhance monitoring in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and IT operations to improve deployment processes and system resilience, building robust infrastructure for real-time gaming applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Senior level experience with web technologies and programming web-based user interfaces (C#, Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the DevOps team to develop tools and administer products.
• Develop and enhance build processes and tools.
• Provide second- to third-tier customer support, assisting the operations team with engineering-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal and third-party development partners.
• Configure and deploy modern observability tools for system performance, availability, and security monitoring.
• Support database deployment processes and environment consistency across development, staging, and production
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and system architecture
• Partner with QA and developers to support test environment stability and reliability
