Job summary

TEKsystems in Charlotte, NC seeks a DevOps Engineer for a 12-36 month contract to enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and automate workflows within a platform ecosystem. You will collaborate across development, platform, and infrastructure teams to onboard applications and cloud services into enterprise delivery pipelines.

You will support cloud migrations across AWS, Azure, and GCP, using Terraform for IaC, and engage with security for compliant, scalable designs. Hybrid work in Charlotte.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • Experience with OpenShift and containerized deployments.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and automated testing practices.

Job description

DevOps Engineer

Duration: 12-36 Months

Location: Charlotte, NC

Description
  • Enhance, maintain, and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines within a platform ecosystem.
  • Modify and support pipeline code, scripts, and automation workflows to meet new business and technical requirements.
  • Partner with development, platform, and infrastructure teams to onboard applications and cloud services into enterprise delivery pipelines.
  • Support cloud migration and cloud adoption initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure pipeline design and adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Support cloud infrastructure onboarding platforms and related automation initiatives.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and implementation activities for DevOps and platform engineering projects.
  • Evaluate and integrate modern tooling, automation techniques, and AI-assisted development capabilities where appropriate.
  • Work closely with globally distributed teams to deliver scalable, reliable DevOps solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
