Job summary

Doist is seeking a senior IT/DevOps engineer to drive cloud and platform engineering initiatives. You will bring 10+ years of IT experience with deep hands-on expertise in AWS, GCP, and designing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.

You will work on automation with Ansible and Python, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and support regulated environments (FedRAMP/NIST). This role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work autonomously in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with emphasis on DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting and deploying workloads in AWS.
• GCP knowledge including deployment and support of applications and cloud services.
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes and tools in enterprise environments.
• Automation and scripting using Ansible and Python.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting applications in cloud environments.
• Experience supporting AI and ML platform deployments and configuration management focused on infrastructure, automation, and operations.
• Understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration management, release engineering, and platform operations.
• Experience with compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, NIST-based or similar).
• Knowledge of source control and DevOps toolchains (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
