Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps / SRE Cloud Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will serve as a hands-on subject matter expert in DevOps and automation within an AWS infrastructure environment.

This role involves working closely with architects and developers to design, implement, and support scalable cloud solutions, while ensuring system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for DevOps and automation in AWS environments.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize deployment and task automation for OS, databases, virtual networks, and platform services.
• Participate in agile Scrum teams focused on DevOps and SysOps engineering.
• Monitor production environments and ensure system health and availability.
• Build and manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions.
• Optimize system performance and anticipate customer needs.
• Provide operational support for large distributed software applications.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to create supportable designs.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure from development to operations.
• Make critical decisions during downtime when escalation is not feasible.
• Create and deliver documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Utilize monitoring tools for logging and application performance.
• Stay updated on cloud computing trends and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS tools and methodologies.
• Strong experience in AWS services including Docker, Amazon EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Development experience in Python or similar technologies (3+ years).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with debugging complex code.
• Experience with AWS architecture including VPC, subnets, and segmentation.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP/JSON web service APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in scaling cloud-based applications with a focus on automation and monitoring.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
