The Senior Development Project Manager role focuses on early-stage development, due diligence, engineering, interconnection, and permitting of distributed energy solar + energy storage projects ranging from 2MW to 50MW. This includes self-developed greenfield projects or acquisition projects involving LOI and MIPAs. The role involves working with the Sr. Director of Project Delivery, Engineering & Interconnection Team, and the Project Development team to develop commercially viable projects through managing all pre-NTP activities. Post-NTP, projects are transitioned to the Project Execution team.
The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of early project stages, coordinating with stakeholders such as consultants, lawyers, engineers, permitting agencies, utilities, developers, analysts, financiers, and construction personnel. The role requires deep knowledge of commercial solar and storage projects, strong problem-solving, team management skills, and the ability to work independently to push projects to readiness for execution. The position reports to the Sr. Director/Head of DE-Project Engineering & Delivery or another senior leader.
Ideal candidates will reside in Texas or surrounding states. The role is primarily remote but requires flexibility for travel, estimated at 10% of the year or as needed.
