Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Senior Developer Relations Engineer to join our rapidly-growing company and act as a technical bridge between Anaconda’s engineering teams and our thriving developer community. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create high-quality technical content including tutorials, blog posts, documentation and sample code demonstrating Anaconda products and libraries (conda, Python packages, Jupyter integrations).
  • Engage with developers, researchers, and contributors with technical presentations, workshops, webinars for conferences, meetups, and online platforms.
  • Advocate for open-source adoption by creating compelling content (blogs, tutorials, videos, and sample projects).
  • Represent Anaconda at AI/ML conferences, meetups, hackathons, and industry events.
  • Collect feedback from the community to inform product development and roadmap decisions.
  • Write in-depth technical guides, blog posts, and documentation to help developers effectively use our tools.
  • Build, maintain, contribute to and advocate for open-source projects, demos, and reference implementations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key community members, contributors, and technical partners.
  • Contribute code, issue reports, and PRs to our open-source projects.
  • Support and mentor community contributors, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.

What You Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or another major language.
  • Strong understanding of data science ecosystems, package management systems, Python environments and open-source communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for storytelling, teaching, and experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, documentation)
  • Proven track record of engaging with developer communities through blog posts, conference talks, or open-source contributions.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, and cloud AI/ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with Jupyter notebooks, data visualization, and scientific computing

The US base salary range for this role is $112,000-$195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
