Overview

This role involves attending pre‑bid meetings, tracking contracts, obtaining quotes from electrical suppliers, and creating take‑offs, proposals, and cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre‑bid meetings, track contracts, negotiate and obtain quotes from electrical suppliers
• Develop take‑offs, proposals, cost estimates, hard bids, and manage the bid process
• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, bid documents, and contract specifications
• Maintain budgets and manage relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and vendors

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Design/build experience required, with high desirability for additional design‑build experience
• Proficient in computerized estimating and spreadsheet programs; proven background in RFIs, material take‑offs, and blueprint reading
• Ability to layout branch circuitry and understand contract documents and electrical design concepts
• Overall knowledge of electrical material costs
• 7+ years of experience in the electrical industry
