About Ironsite

Ironsite is building the intelligence layer for the physical world. We design our own wearable hardware, deploy it alongside craft workers, and transform a shift's footage into a next-morning report. Our internal team and purpose-built models label the data overnight and deliver actionable insights to superintendents by 5 AM.

We are accelerating the speed, efficiency, and predictability of construction, especially for complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers, LNG facilities, sports stadiums, hospitals, and other large-scale developments, by training AI models on egocentric construction footage and labor productivity data. We are built with a pro-worker philosophy at our core: we believe technology should empower the workforce, not replace it. We're working to give craft workers and project leaders better visibility into what's happening on-site, while creating a system where the reality of construction and the chaos of each day is finally available to the people running the project.

Ironsite is deployed across several of the largest active construction projects in the country. To date, we've captured more than 100,000 hours of construction footage across seven states, now process thousands of hours of site activity every day, and maintain a worker opt-out rate below two percent. This is enabled by a workforce-first architecture that anonymizes devices, captures no audio, and never releases raw video.

The Role

We're hiring an exceptional Sr. Deployment Operator to lead Ironsite's field motion across multiple accounts.

You're not a foreman running one site or a superintendent running one job. You're the person who can walk any of our jobsites, in any state, on any trade, and instantly see what's working, what's broken, and what needs to change. You'll manage a portfolio of deployments simultaneously, serve as the internal technical authority on how we deploy, and act as the senior escalation point when a site needs someone who can figure it out and make the call.

You'll partner closely with our Deployment Operators who own the day-to-day of individual deployments, and you'll be the leader they learn from, elevate to, and lean on. You'll also be one of the primary channels of insight into what Ironsite builds next, because you'll see patterns across accounts that no one else at the company can see.

This is a role for someone who has spent enough time on the site to know construction cold, and enough time in operations or technology to know how to scale field programs. You're not just a construction expert. You're a construction expert who also knows how to make a technology work in the messy reality of a jobsite, and who can lead a growing field team as we scale nationwide.

What You'll Do

Manage a portfolio of deployments.

• Own multiple concurrent deployments across accounts, regions, and project types. You'll be the internal authority on the state of each of them.
• Set the deployment strategy for each account, including timeline, device count, crew composition, on-site infrastructure, and success metrics.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for GC leadership and self-perform executives across your portfolio.

Be the technical expert in the field.

• Walk any of our jobsites and diagnose what's happening at every layer: crew adoption, hardware performance, connectivity, data quality, upload reliability, and integration with the contractor's own workflows.
• Solve the hard problems FDEs escape to you. You're the person who figures out what to do when nothing in the playbook applies.
• Drive continuous improvement in how Ironsite deploys, including new site setups, new hardware form factors, new device workflows, and new integration approaches with contractor systems.

Lead and grow the field team.

• Mentor and level up Deployment Operators as we scale from a handful of markets to a nationwide field motion.
• Establish and enforce the operational standards that keep the entire field team consistent, professional, and effective.
• Hire alongside our recruiting team, and help identify the next generation of field leaders as we grow.

Turn field patterns into product.

• Synthesize what's happening across your portfolio into structured insights our Hardware, Engineering, and AI teams can act on.
• Partner directly with product and engineering leadership on the biggest deployment–facing product decisions, including hardware roadmap, integration priorities, and workforce experience.
• Represent the field voice in every strategic conversation that touches how Ironsite gets deployed.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 6-12 years of construction field experience in senior roles: superintendent, general superintendent, senior project engineer, or similar. You've run large crews on complex projects and you've done it well.
• Broad and deep expertise across trades. You can walk any commercial or industrial jobsite, on any trade, and understand exactly what's happening in front of you at an expert level.
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, or accounts. You can hold context across sites without losing the thread.
• Comfort operating at the intersection of construction and technology. You've either worked at a construction tech company before, run technology adoption programs inside a large contractor, or have hands‑on experience deploying field technology at scale.
• Strong technical fluency. You don't need to write code, but you need to understand hardware, connectivity, networking, and software workflows well enough to lead the technical side of a deployment and to have credible conversations with our engineering teams.
• Wide availability to travel. Managing multiple accounts requires frequent travel across markets, sometimes on short notice.
• Physically able to perform the hands‑on work a deployment demands, including climbing ladders, working at height to install connectivity hardware, and lifting equipment cases.
• Exceptional communication skills across every audience. You can present to a GC's C‑suite in the morning, mentor a junior FDE at lunch, and troubleshoot with a foreman in the afternoon.
• High autonomy and sound judgment. You'll be making calls that affect accounts worth millions in revenue, and you'll be doing it in real time on the ground.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically without restriction.

Strongly preferred

• Bilingual (English / Spanish). A large share of the crews we work with are Spanish‑speaking, and being able to communicate directly with the workforce materially changes adoption.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep familiarity with scheduling, WBS or cost‑code structures, and labor productivity analysis.
• OSHA 30 or higher.
• Experience with field IT, networking, or field‑deployed hardware programs (Starlink, cellular, mesh, IoT).
• Comfort with data tools such as spreadsheets, SQL, or light scripting to make sense of your portfolio

What Success Looks Like

• First 60 days. You've walked every active Ironsite deployment, know each account's status cold, and have identified the top 3 improvements we should make to our deployment playbook.
• First 6 months. You're an internal authority on how Ironsite deploys. Multiple accounts are running under your leadership, our Deployment Operators are visibly better because of your mentorship, and your field observations have shaped at least one meaningful product decision.
• First 12 months. You've helped scale the field team, expanded Ironsite's operational footprint into new markets, and become one of the most important senior leaders on the Operations team.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $130,000 – $180,000 per year.
