About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the pioneer and recognized leader in Cloud Computing. Our web services provide a platform for IT infrastructure in-the-cloud that is used by hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses around the world.

Do you like to solve complex, high-scale data management challenges? Are you experienced in building scaling mechanisms and engaging with diverse customer personas from engineering to C-level executives?

As a Database Solutions Architect, you will design complete solution architectures based on AWS database services, working on applications involving OLTP/OLAP environments, data services, and reference configurations to enable customer adoption of AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and other NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise to AWS customers, advancing database services adoption.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer executives on cloud transformation.
• Lead architectural reviews, workshops, and technical deep dives.
• Create thought leadership content like blogs and reference architectures.
• Present at industry events such as AWS re:Invent and AWS Summit.
• Educate customers on AWS data management solutions.
• Gather feedback for AWS product teams on customer needs.
• Stay current with trends in databases, analytics, and GenAI.
• Travel approximately 25% within the US for customer engagement.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years in relevant technology domains (software development, cloud computing, etc.).
• 3+ years in application/infrastructure design or consulting.
• 10+ years in IT development or consulting.
• Deep knowledge of at least one relational or non-relational database platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure and database architecture.
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
• Experience in a technical sales role and solutions built on AWS.
