Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical People Team Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming our data into actionable insights through advanced reporting and analytics using our People Team tech stack and our own Dataiku Data Science Solution (DSS) platform. This role will involve collaborating with various internal functions within the People Team and with the broader Enterprise Data, Finance, and Platform Strategy teams to enhance decision-making processes, optimize employee engagement, and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development and Management:

  • Foundational Work:
  • Define the People Team Data problem statement, including key areas to measure (across employee lifecycle) that provide insights and actionable intelligence.
  • Partner with Dataiku’s Enterprise Data and Analytics Team Center of Excellence to:
  • Build a People Team Data Governance Model (creation through disposal) including identifying Sensitive (confidential) and Controlled (for intended approved use-only). Structure access to visualization outputs
  • Audit People Data Before Operational Step
  • Understand Data Workflows / Transactions/ Processes in Systems
  • Build a Data Dictionary (source, contents, format, structure, calculations, and use)
  • Tap into the Replication on the EDA side (systems, databases)
  • Access the Data Warehouse(s)
  • Operational Work
  • Adopt and use DSS to:
  • Exploration, analysis, trends, patterns, actions for Leadership, People Manager, and People Team consumption. This includes identifying and revealing key organizational health metrics and analysis across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage Collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Maximize GenAI capabilities for ease of access and to reduce friction
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within the HR domain.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and databases such as SQL and Snowflake
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling reports and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and analytics, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HR systems (e.g. Workday) and data management practices.
Compensation and Benefits

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.

US only national base pay ranges

$190,000 — $220,000 USD
