Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a senior data science professional to perform analytics, tell stories from data, and collaborate with engagement managers and cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes applying statistical rigor, ML concepts for business problems, and the ability to travel up to 10%. Hybrid role – On-site Tue/Wed/Thu, with strong emphasis on communication and business-facing analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science with a strong focus on business-facing product analytics.
• 7+yrs experience with SQL, Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau for full-stack data analysis.
• Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, including control group setup and efficacy measurement.
• Strong ability to travel ~10%, and hybrid on-site Tue/Wed/Thu.

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

AI & Engineering - Industry Solutions teams works with the Customer group to bring a flexible capability and fluid capacity model to the delivery of small technology projects and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, with a strong focus on business-facing product analytics; financial products experience is a plus
• 7+yrs experience with SQL, Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau for full-stack data analysis, Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, including control group setup and efficacy measurement
• Working knowledge of when and how to apply AI/LLM capabilities to business problems, with the ability to communicate those recommendations to business partners (this is not a deep ML/AI engineering role)
• Strong critical thinking skills, able to take an ambiguous problem statement and break it down into smaller, actionable steps
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical rigor and machine learning techniques to derive insights from large, complex data sets
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter who can drive projects with little supervision
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Applied Social Sciences.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Hybrid role – On-site Tur/Wed/Thu

• Proficiency with Tableau or similar BI/visualization tools

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $207,800.
