Federal Express Corporation seeks a senior data scientist/engineer to lead enterprise analytics, build predictive models, and guide data-driven decisions. You will mentor staff, lead cross-functional teams, and present results to senior leadership.
The role emphasizes Python, SQL, Databricks, and IaC with Terraform, with a strong foundation in data warehousing and ML forecasting. Hybrid work with preferred US locations; occasional on-site work.
Provides expertise and leadership at the enterprise level related to vast quantities of data (including disparate data), enterprise analytics, statistical modeling and initiatives. Leads staff in descriptive, predictive, prescriptive and ensemble modeling, advanced statistical techniques, use of database tools and/or other approaches in quantitative analysis of complex business situations.
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, data analytics, statistics or related quantitative field. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.
Five years' work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation and/or predictive analytics.
The preferred location for this hybrid position is Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA or Plano, TX. However, we will consider candidates based elsewhere within the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories). Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week.
