The role of Sr Data Reviewer is to support our Laboratory teams, particularly our Cell and Molecular biology lab, in ensuring the integrity and quality of laboratory and chromatographic data and reports. They perform review of complex analytical experiments conducted on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in various formulations and/or biological matrices. The Sr Data Reviewer should have a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct routine, non-routine (method establishment), and complex analytical data reviews, ensuring scientific soundness and adherence to method validation. They also ensure analyses follow validated or experimental procedures, and results are compared to methodology, protocol, product specifications, SOPs, GMP, and other standards.

This position is ideal for someone with strong review experience, Cell & Molecular background, looking to move away from hands-on lab duties.

A Day in the Life

  • Performs complex analytical data review, evaluating laboratory data for compliance with methods, SOPs, client directives, and scientific validity.
  • Reviews development analyses of non-routine projects, including method qualification, verification, and validation data interpretation.
  • Reviews routine and non-routine protocols and methods.
  • Facilitates documentation practices and addresses quality findings with lab staff.
  • Delivers clear review findings, notes deficiencies, and escalates significant issues.
  • Trains and mentors junior staff in data review processes.
  • Advocates for quality and process improvements.
  • Assists in evaluating the data review process and work assignments.
  • Identifies and drives process improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • BSc in Science or related field required.
  • 5+ years QA/QC experience, with thorough knowledge of cell techniques (bioassay, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, PCR) and analytical data review.
  • Knowledge of SOPs, GLP, GMP regulations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Ability to independently review laboratory reports and methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear documentation skills.

Work Environment Requirements

  • Effective communication with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work upright, stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and handle laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and technology.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
