Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data & Reporting Analyst for a hybrid onsite contract in downtown Chicago. You will design, develop and maintain SQL-based data solutions supporting lending and investor reporting, and build Power BI reports to enable data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes ETL development with SSIS and Azure Data Factory, cloud migration to Azure, and collaboration with global teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, reporting, analytics, or related disciplines.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced querying, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL solutions using SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions, especially report development.
• Exposure to Azure-based data platforms and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms.
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data solutions for lending, private credit, portfolio management and investor reporting.

• Troubleshoot data, reporting, and integration issues across production environments.

• Participate in Agile processes in Azure DevOps and maintain documentation on data quality.

The Sr. Data & Reporting Analyst will:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data solutions supporting commercial lending, private credit, portfolio management, and investor reporting initiatives.


• Develop and support reporting solutions using Power BI, including paginated reports, datasets, and related analytics tools.


• Troubleshoot and resolve data, reporting, and integration issues across existing production environments.


• Build, enhance, and support ETL processes utilizing SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or related technologies.


• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable data and reporting solutions.


• Support modernization efforts focused on migrating on-premises SQL Server, SSIS, and reporting environments to Azure-based platforms.


• Contribute to cloud data initiatives involving technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and related data platforms.


• Collaborate with global technology teams throughout requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.


• Participate in Agile delivery processes including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and work tracking within Azure DevOps.


• Develop documentation and promote best practices around data quality, reporting, and solution support.


• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI-assisted analytics, development, and productivity tools.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field


• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or related disciplines.


• Strong industry experience in the financial services domain, specifically private credit, commercial lending, direct lending &/or asset management


• Consultative communicator with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders in addition to technical teams.


• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced querying, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data analysis.


• Experience developing and supporting ETL solutions using SSIS &/or Azure Data Factory.


• Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions, with focus on report development.


• Exposure to Azure-based data platforms and cloud modernization initiatives.


• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms is preferred.


• Ability to work support globally distributed teams, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or related development and collaboration tools.


• Experience using AI-assisted development, analytics, or productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
