  • This role is hybrid, empowering employees to work both in and out of the office.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll advance Pacific Life's data initiatives by implementing modern technical solutions. You'll join the data team within the technology organization, collaborating with infrastructure engineers, data engineers, and other Data, AI, Governance, and QA professionals in a highly collaborative environment.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Partner with data architects, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data infrastructure requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Help build scalable data infrastructure with robust security, quality, and governance protocols.

  • Create low-level design artifacts, including infrastructure design and process documents.

  • Build scalable and reliable data infrastructure to support data and analytics platforms, and data pipelines using cloud-based technologies.

  • Implement automation and continuous improvements to build and deploy processes.

  • Apply standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with security and risk management.

  • Provision, deploy, secure, monitor, and maintain data platform environments.

  • Use Agile frameworks to organize, manage, and execute work.

  • Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and attention to detail through deliverables and work methods.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering data infrastructure, including cloud and database technologies.

  • Understanding of infrastructure engineering best practices and data integration patterns.

  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes.

  • 1+ years of experience in automation, scripting, orchestration, upgrades, support, and maintenance of infrastructure tools and technologies.

  • Experience with agile methodologies, effective communication, and team collaboration.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What makes you stand out:

  • 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and cloud services.

  • Experience with AWS, databases, ETL/ELT pipelines, data visualization, and analytics tools.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration.

  • Master Data Management/Reference Data experience.

  • Automation, scripting, testing in data delivery environments.

  • Financial services, investments, or insurance domain knowledge.
