We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Customer Analytics team within Global Data & Analytics. This role will transform complex customer data into actionable insights that guide business strategy, strengthen vendor partnerships, and support informed decision-making across the organization. The analyst will help expand access to trusted customer analytics and insights across the organization, including for the Executive Leadership Team. This role involves:

  • Serve as a customer analytics lead for strategic business questions, using internal and external data to identify customer health trends, growth opportunities, behavioral shifts, and performance drivers.
  • Partner with business teams and vendors to evaluate initiatives through a customer lens, clearly identifying what is working, what is not working, why it matters, and what actions should follow.
  • Develop scalable dashboards, reporting, analytical frameworks, and executive-ready narratives that broaden access to trusted customer intelligence across the organization.
  • Translate customer data into business value by connecting insights to customer acquisition, engagement, retention, loyalty, channel behavior, category performance, and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
  • Lead analyses of customer purchase, engagement, demographic, loyalty, channel, product, and digital behavior to identify meaningful trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Media, Finance, Digital, Strategy, and other teams to frame business questions and develop customer-centered analytical approaches.
  • Evaluate business and vendor performance from the customer point of view, including who is buying, how behavior is changing, where engagement is strengthening or declining, and what is driving outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain customer health reporting, executive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service tools that give leaders consistent access to trusted insights.
  • Create vendor and brand insights that help internal partners and external vendors understand customer overlap, acquisition, retention, cross-shopping, channel behavior, category preferences, and growth opportunities.
  • Synthesize complex findings into clear executive narratives, identifying what is working, what is not working, the business implications, and recommended actions.
  • Conduct deep-dive and ad hoc analyses to answer priority business questions and uncover emerging customer opportunities.
  • Establish clear analytical methodologies, definitions, and documentation to ensure customer insights are consistent, transparent, and reproducible.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and data product teams to expand customer data availability, improve analytical datasets, and address gaps that limit insight generation.
  • Implement validation and monitoring processes that maintain high standards for data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Transform business inquiries into innovative analytical solutions, aligning data teams and business partners on objectives, methodology, outputs, and expected decisions.
  • Present customer insights and recommendations through compelling presentations and direct stakeholder engagement that improve decision-making at both working-team and executive levels.
  • Use SQL, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and other analytical tools to build an expert understanding of customer behavior across channels (stores and digital), banners, markets, brands, and categories.
  • Support customer data integrity investigations, validate fixes, and communicate implications to business stakeholders.
  • Keep analytical deliverables, methodologies, and priorities organized and transparent for partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer analytics, business analytics, marketing analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • At least 2 years of experience writing advanced SQL queries required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with customer, transaction, loyalty, or digital behavioral data required; experience with a customer data platform is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into concise business narratives, actionable recommendations, and executive-ready presentations.

  • Strong understanding of customer metrics and analytical methods related to acquisition, retention, loyalty, segmentation, lifetime value, channel behavior, and performance trends.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one analytics-oriented programming language such as Python, Scala, or R is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious team player with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical teams, business partners, vendors, and senior leaders.
