Job summary

Merrimack Health is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to oversee analytics for the Quality & Patient Safety department in Lawrence, MA. You will design and maintain dashboards and reports, ensuring data integrity and supporting regulatory metrics and external surveys.

The role requires healthcare data expertise, strong SQL/BI tool experience, and the ability to translate complex specs for leadership oversight while collaborating across clinical and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or healthcare field.
• Minimum of 5 years of data analysis experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems such as Meditech or Epic.
• Able to interpret and translate complex technical specifications and develop related reports for management oversight.
• Experienced/advanced Microsoft Office user.
• Able to produce reports under minimal supervision to meet deadlines specified by departments and external agencies.
• Service-oriented approach that can set priorities appropriately.
• Strong analytical skills to address and resolve complex problems.
• Able to work collaboratively with clinical and IT colleagues through effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

The Senior Data Analyst shares responsibility for the oversight of data analytics for the Quality & Patient Safety (QPS) department. The analyst researches, designs and maintains reports and dashboards, ensuring the quality and integrity of the information presented. The analyst supports departments and projects throughout the system, including those that track regulatory compliance metrics and fulfill external survey requirements.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or healthcare field
• Minimum of 5 years of data analysis experience in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems such as Meditech or Epic
• Able to interpret and translate complex technical specifications and develop related reports for management oversight
