Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency Disability Evaluation System contract in Falls Church, VA. You will develop and document data collection procedures, perform statistical analyses, and provide guidance for monitoring and evaluation efforts.

Required: Bachelor's in IT-related field, 6+ years analytics, 5+ years of supervision, and relevant data analytics certifications. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are mandatory.

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and 6+ years of analytics experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Data analytics certifications (Google, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS or CAP).

• Develop, maintain, and document procedures for data collection, database management, and analysis (including development of analytic plans).
• Develop guidance documents and other materials (e.g., qualitative data collection tools and templates, codebooks, data dictionaries) to facilitate monitoring and evaluation projects.
• Provide information technology and information management support.
• Provide statistical analysis support.
• Perform program-related qualitative and scientific studies analyses.
• Mine data from multiple Government sources and perform statistical analysis; evaluate data and provide recommendations to address trends.

SR. DATA ANALYST (DES):

Bowhead is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to support the upcoming Defense Health Agency Disability Evaluation System Support Services contract in Falls Church, VA.

About this contract: The Defense Health Agency (DHA) has a requirement for services supporting DHA Medical Affairs and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Health Services and Policy Oversight (HSP&O) in their missions of policy and program development and oversight of the Disability Evaluation System (DES), the Special Compensation for Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (SCAADL), the Physical Disability Board of Review, and the Compensation and Benefits Handbook. The contract will also provide administrative and records management support to the DHA office located in Arlington, VA And Falls Church.

• Develop, maintain, and document procedures for data collection, database management, and analysis (including development of analytic plans).
• Develop guidance documents and other materials (e.g., qualitative data collection tools and templates, codebooks, data dictionaries) to facilitate the implementation of monitoring and evaluating core activities and demonstration projects.
• Provide information Technology and Information Management support.
• Provide statistical analysis support.
• Perform program related qualitative and scientific studies analysis.
• Mine data from multiple Government sources and perform as needed statistical analysis; evaluate the data; develop and provide recommendations to correct or mitigate negative trends or issues.
• Bachelor's degree in any IT related field.
• Six (6+) years’ experience with systems and/or business analytics.
• Five (5+) years’ experience supervising or overseeing personnel.
• Data analytics certifications (Google Data Analytics Professional, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS or CAP).
• Three (3+) years’ experience with identifying data frameworks essential to executing relevant tasks.
• Experience with integrating system-level data requirements and architectures into enterprise-level architectures that meets DoD regulations (preferred).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated skills in prioritizing and multi-tasking.

Target salary range is between $120,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract
