Job description

We seek a highly motivated and technically qualified individual to join our Support Team. The Sr. DAS Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting SOLiD's North American customers with technical troubleshooting both remotely and in the field when necessary.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will be a key contributor of SOLiD's continued growth and success. Duties will include the following :

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 DAS troubleshooting resources over the phone or on-site as needed
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of new product features in advance of new product launches to enable Day 1 Support for SOLiD's customers
  • Work closely with the integrators to efficiently resolve field issues affecting DAS performance
  • Interface with the carriers to ensure proper signal quality obtained to / from DAS
  • Write documentation to aid the supportability of the SOLiD portfolio
  • Collaborate with Support team members to enhance training materials and support processes
  • Create field trip reports with issue analysis and troubleshooting action taken when traveling to customer sites
  • Request feature enhancement or functional improvement to the product management team and R&D by identifying customer requirements gathered during field support
  • Evaluate updated features by utilizing demo gear to determine whether the features meet validation criteria
  • Manage revision history and firmware version of updated product features
  • Analyze root causes on any critical RMAs returned from customers to assist product quality improvement experienced from customer support and on-site verification
  • Mentor and train new employees and junior level Support Engineers as directed by management
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or equivalent working experience
  • 8+ years of proven RF / DAS experience with specific experience on SOLiD Products
  • Thorough working knowledge of RF test equipment
  • Intimate knowledge of wireless technology such as CDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G, and NR
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and across departments
  • Experience using NetSuite or similar financial software is a plus.
