How you can make a difference

As a Sr Cybersecurity Software Engineer specializing in the Transmit Security Mosaic platform, you'll be at the forefront of securing HealthEquity's critical assets. Within our Security and Fraud organization, your expertise will be instrumental in designing, building, testing, and developing key security components, including Orchestration, Identity Verification (IDV), Risk-Based Authentication (RBA), and Detection and Response System (DRS).

We're seeking a passionate and skilled individual with a strong background in identity security, authentication, risk assessment, software development, security operations, and automation. Your proactive contributions, particularly in driving threat-informed defense concepts, will directly enhance our cyber resilience. What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement security solutions within the Transmit Security Mosaic platform, focusing on Orchestration, IDV, RBA, and DRS.
  • Design, test, and optimize security workflows and authentication mechanisms to enhance user identity protection.
  • Integrate risk-based authentication mechanisms using real-time data and adaptive policies to enhance security decision-making.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline identity security operations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats related to identity authentication and fraud prevention.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to enhance authentication and identity verification strategies.
  • Conduct security testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation for security policies, configurations, and system changes.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in identity security, authentication, or cybersecurity engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Transmit Security Mosaic platform (Orchestration, IDV, RBA, DRS).
  • Strong knowledge of B2C access management, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), and fraud prevention.
  • Experience in programming/scripting languages such as Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with API integrations and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of zero trust security models and adaptive authentication strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a security-first mindset.
  • Certifications such as SANS GIAC, CISSP, Azure/AWS Security, or equivalent.
  • Experience with CIAM tools, cyber and threat intelligence platforms, and security automation.
  • Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise security domains.

Salary Range
$109,500.00 To $142,500.00 / year
