Duties:
- The SR. Engineering Tech (CYBERSECURITY) responsibilities will act as a SCADA Network technical lead in the design, development, and daily support of the company's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Network and Security infrastructures.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence and knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) LAN / WAN networking and best practices in SCADA network architecture and security design, including ICS security infrastructures.
- Experience configuring and managing network switches, routers, firewalls; including EIGRP and BGP routing protocols, is essential.
- This position will work closely with the IT network and project management teams, and SCADA network/security consultants overseeing the design, development, proof of concept, and upgrade of the company's SCADA network communications infrastructure.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Required):
- Knowledge of industrial control systems 1/0 technologies and SCADA Protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CIP).
- Expertise in designing, deploying, and reviewing control systems LAN/WAN networks and security architecture.
- Working knowledge of Cellular, Microwave, Telco services, WAN, LAN, switching, routing, VPN, VLAN.
- Evaluate products and vendors, administer cyber tools and systems.
- Configure and administer firewalls.
- Develop and maintain manuals, test procedures, and specifications for network security compliance.
- Provide technical expertise for SCADA network and security projects.
- Configure and validate security architecture solutions.
- Generate network and security reports.
- Develop and maintain network/security documentation.
- Collaborate with consultants to ensure the successful design, enhancements, implementation, and administration of SCADA network and security technologies.
- Work with IT Security and consultants to perform security audits, identify, and document security weaknesses.
- Communicate security issues to the project team, enhance network/security management and monitoring solutions, and recommend security controls to mitigate risks using industry best practices.
- Ensure security policies and procedures are implemented as per security plans.
- Test security products and systems to detect weaknesses and perform event correlation across systems.
Experience Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, plus two years of accredited college or university in engineering, and eight years of relevant experience, including two years at the Engineering Technician III level.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Personable, team player, flexible, multitasker, handles pressure well.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Local candidates (So Cal) preferred.
Desirable Licenses:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Security
- Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) - Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional Certification (GICSP)
- ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity
The hiring range for this position is $60.00 to $65.00 per hour. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
