Job summary

KIOXIA America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Customer Qualification Engineer to support qualification activities for datacenter SSD products. You will set up qualification infrastructure, execute tests, triage failures, and report status to stakeholders.

You will work across Windows and Linux environments, developing scripts, analyzing data, and driving issues to resolution while coordinating with product support and development teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on SSD/storage experience or BS +5 years in related field.
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals.
• Platform-level troubleshooting, including run/break/fix and issue isolation.
• Experience triaging issues in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience developing scripts in Python/PowerShell/Bash.
• Data manipulation/analysis using spreadsheets or similar tools.
• Strong technical communication with clear, detailed explanations.
• Experience with PCIe/NVMe protocol analyzers and SSD testing tools.
• Experience with SSD performance measurement methodologies.
• Familiarity with OCP Datacenter NVMe specs and test systems.
• Experience engaging with product development stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Senior Customer Qualification Engineer, your primary role is to provide support for customer qualifications on our datacenter SSD products. During the product qualification phase, you will provide support on test execution, failure analysis, and status reporting. This includes ensuring all hardware and software components of the qualification are in place and ready for execution, reporting on execution and issue status, and participating in update meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Configure qualification infrastructure from multiple customers for execution
• Drive execution of customer qualifications according to schedule
• Work with the Product Support lead to ensure alignment of tasks
• Perform failure triage on any issues found during qualifications
• Manage issues in defect tracking systems
• Drive issues to resolution in a timely manner
• Write test status reports on a regular basis

Qualifications:

• 7+ years hands-on technical experience with SSDs or related storage devices -or- BS degree in engineering or equivalent field and 5+ years hands-on technical experience
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals
• Platform-level troubleshooting skills to include run/break/fix capabilities and issue isolation
• Experience triaging issues in Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
• Experience developing Python/PowerShell/Bash scripts for cross-team usage
• Familiar with data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools)
• Good technical communication skills providing both detail and clarity in complex scenarios

Qualifications:

• Experience with PCIe/NVMe protocols, including analyzer and power measurement tools
• Experience with SSD performance measurement tools and methodologies
• Experience with OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD specifications and SSD test system usage
• Experience engaging with stakeholders of a product development organization

The expected salary for this position is $99,560.00 - $165,930.00.
