Job summary

Kairos Analytics in Huntsville, AL seeks cost-estimating professionals to develop and maintain Life Cycle Cost Estimates for Army program offices. You will construct independent cost estimates for CRPs, analyze vendor data, and assist in evaluating solicitations.

The role requires translating technical requirements into cost elements, building WBSs, and applying CERs to financial models, with PPBE support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience modeling weapon system development, procurement, and sustainment for a DoD/DoW program office.
• Ability to map a PWS to costs and tasks.
• Knowledge of the Army Acquisition process and maturation models.
• Proficiency with ACEIT and cost-estimating tools.
• Strong MS Office skills and report generation.
• Active security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) for Department of the Army Program Offices.
• Construct Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) for Contracts Requirements Packages (CRPs).
• Analyze proposal data from potential vendors and assist in the technical evaluation of responses to solicitations.
• Translate technical system requirements into cost elements within the Army Cost Estimating Structure (CES).
• Develop program Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) for cost estimates and Cost Software Data Reports (CSDRs).
• Research, develop, and utilize Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs) to construct accurate and defensible cost models.
• Provide programmatic support to the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience modeling weapon system development, procurement, and sustainment within a Department of War (DOW) program management office.
• Ability to evaluate a Performance Work Statement (PWS) and associate costs with the required tasks.
• Knowledge of the Army Acquisition process, and understanding of system development and maturation models.
• Experience using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must possess an active security clearance
