Job description

About the Role
Based in Erlanger, KY, this position will support the tracking of all linehaul trailer moves, and execute department specific functions, to ensure Gap Inc. shipments meet service requirements. The work performed will help ensure the successful movement and delivery of all Gap Inc. product into and out of our Distribution Centers. This position interacts with individuals both independently and in conjunction with other internal and external stakeholders. You will perform key functions that directly impact the ability for our DCs and Stores to have the right product, at the right time, to sell to the end customer. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with our third-part delivery providers, and stores, to resolve exceptions.

This position is seasonal (lasting for 6 months) and is 40-hours per week (Monday through Friday). It is required to work from the office, but has the option to work remote on Friday, through Labor Day.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for the track & trace of ground freight shipments, across the U.S. and Canada
  • Expedite product that is designated as priority by our brands
  • Utilize system capabilities, and available data, to drive end-to-end tracking execution, and service
  • Act as an immediate point-of-contact, for internal and external business partners, to report freight that has been delayed
  • Cultivate partnerships with external carriers and hold accountable to service targets
  • Anticipate areas of potential risk in the network, collaborate with other team members, and take actions to mitigate
  • Establish impact of late product and provide visibility to relevant stakeholders
  • Perform daily transportation procedures/operations and execute against documented processes
  • Assist leaders on key projects, by providing support and analysis, as needed, or requested
