Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Sr. Coordinator Materials to support airline catering operations. On-site role focused on balancing purchasing and inventory to ensure timely availability of products and cost control.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, analyze forecasts, manage inventory data, and execute purchasing decisions to meet customer demand in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Proficiency with SAP MM and Windows is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/buyer experience.
• SAP MM experience strongly preferred.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Price special charters/functions and participate in Food Cost problem solving.
• Develop solutions and tracking for Food Cost issues.
• Order product based on supplier, airline, or product type.
• Determine quantity to order based on forecast, on hand inventory, and supplier delivery schedule and lead-time.
• Perform physical inventory on product lines prior to ordering.
• Source new items through suppliers and add new items to purchasing system.
• Handle order discrepancies by communicating with supplier.
• Conduct End of Month physical inventory.
• Determine and communicate product overages or shortages and develop a strategy to address.
• Ability to read and analyze forecast reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain address system in the purchasing system.

Our Santa Ana facility, located near John Wayne Airport, is looking for a Buyer who can balance analytical thinking with operational execution. In this role, you'll manage purchasing and inventory activities that ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand and operational goals.

Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll leverage forecasts, inventory data, and business trends to make informed purchasing decisions, resolve supply challenges, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can adapt to the changing needs of a 24/7 operation supporting airline customers.
