Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO seeks a part-time cook to prepare and present high-quality meals for patients, café service, and catering events. You will help update menus, ensure dietary compliance, and maintain HACCP-driven cleanliness in all food prep areas.

You will coordinate with the FANS Coordinator and the team to meet daily service expectations, handle portioning and production, and support a safe, welcoming dining environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• 3+ years in hospital food service or healthcare cooking preferred.
• High school diploma preferred; CFSP certification optional.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for patients, cafe, and events per recipes and sheets.
• Update menus, recipes, and records to support dietary compliance.
• Maintain clean, sanitary areas following HACCP and proper temps.
• Oversee production, portioning, and quality for patient and retail services.
• Coordinate with the FANS Coordinator to meet service expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Prepare and cook high-quality, visually appealing meals for patients, café service, and catering events, following established recipes and production sheets.
• Create and update menus, recipes, and production records in collaboration with leadership to support dietary compliance and operational efficiency.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, equipment, and storage areas by following HACCP guidelines and recording temperatures accurately.
• Oversee food production activities, ensuring proper portioning, batch cooking, and adherence to culinary standards for both patient and retail services.
• Communicate effectively with the FANS Coordinator and team members to coordinate daily operations, resolve issues, and ensure service expectations are consistently met.
