Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business or a related field with a minimum of 15 years federal contracting experience; additional relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven ability to operate as a business partner with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of all contract types, especially Single Award IDIQs, and FAR/DFARS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication translating complex contract issues for non-contract audiences.
  • Self-starter with sound judgment managing a strategic classified program with minimal supervision.

The Contracts Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to Program Leadership on a high-visibility, strategic program within the Classified space. Responsibilities

Serve as a dedicated contracts strategic advisor to Program Leadership, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and solutions across the full business lifecycle - from pipeline and capture through performance and closeout.

  • Partner with Program Leadership to review sole source task order RFPs and align program performance with continuous process improvement across the program to ensure mission success.
  • Lead and negotiate prime contract, task and delivery orders, and modifications to focus on protecting company interests while enabling program success.
  • Provide oversight and evaluation of task order proposals, monitor contract terms and conditions, and identify risks with associated mitigations in compliance with contract terms, company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Act as the Classified Program's advocate and voice within the Contracts organization, ensuring responsiveness, alignment, and consistent execution across the portfolio.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers - serving as a reliable point of contact and problem-solver.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Control, Accounting, and Program leadership to monitor contract performance and ensure conformance to requirements and deliverable obligations.
  • Maintain contract systems, files, and records ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, company policy, and government requirements within a Classified environment.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of federal contracting experience; additional relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a business partner - not just an administrator - with a track record of influencing outcomes and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of all contract types, especially Single Award IDIQs and deep expertise with the FAR/DFARS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex contract issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-contracts audiences.
  • Self-starter with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a strategic classified program with minimal supervision.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required for this position - final adjudication is required and interim clearances will not be considered. Candidates must also be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access; Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current TS/SCI security clearance. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances. Approximate range of $130,000 - $175,000, subject to change based on the factors listed above.
