Overview

Tetra Tech is adding a part-time Sr. Contracts Manager to our Global Services Design Team based in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This position can be hybrid or fully remote and can be based in any location within the United States.

At Tetra Tech, our Global Services Design Team provides comprehensive architecture and engineering solutions for U.S. government clients worldwide. We specialize in facility and utility planning, design, and construction services throughout the project lifecycle. One of our key clients is the U.S. Department of Defense. Our projects range from full design and construction support for military base expansions and improvements to critical infrastructure such as airfield pavements, roadways, water and wastewater systems, and power and communications networks, as well as headquarters, operations, housing, warehouses, and other mission support facilities.

Essential Job Functions

The Sr. Contracts Manager conducts full life-cycle contract administration for various U.S. government and commercial clients in the infrastructure sector and provides legal support to global operations as required to manage risks.

  • Manage or support contractual and legal aspects of project administration
  • Perform due diligence on all potential clients and entities that Tetra Tech will team, subcontract or associate with
  • Support business development by reviewing solicitations, agreement terms and conditions, teaming agreements and providing contracts and compliance guidance to staff, teaming partners, and subcontractors
  • Prepare, negotiate, and review contracts, subcontracts, independent consulting agreements, intercompany agreements, teaming agreements, NDAs, and related agreements
  • Advise on foreign registration requirements and work with local legal and tax advisors to ensure proper registration and compliance
  • Represent the company in client audits
  • Conduct compliance reviews for procurements of equipment, supplies, commodities, and technical services
  • Prepare submissions to government contracting officers and agency procurement staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of federal contract management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of federal contracting regulations, policies, and procedures, including the FAR, AIDAR, and FTR
  • Strong understanding of contracting principles
  • Demonstrated experience in risk mitigation, compliance management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to solve problems, prioritize, quickly understand regional/country context and local sensitivities, and negotiate effectively combining logic and reason with interpersonal sensitivity
  • Strong writing, communication and presentations skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to varied audiences and to train staff in contract compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Willingness to participate in short-term international travel assignments as needed
  • Due to the clients we serve, this position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Card. Must be able to pass background screening including criminal history, credit check etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • J.D., degree in paralegal studies
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or Sit. Must be able to remain in a stationary position a minimum of 50% of the time
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Additional Information
  • Employment Type: This is a part-time 24 hours per week position
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with 5 hours on Monday through Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. Core hours 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM local time; some flexibility is permitted but hours must overlap core business hours for team collaboration
  • Work location: Hybrid arrangement out of Marlborough, MA office is highly preferred. Work arrangements are subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion. All hybrid and remote work will be in accordance with Tetra Tech's Remote Work Policy
  • Pay and Benefits: The hourly range for this position is $60.00 to $75.00 per hour. Pay decisions consider location, qualifications, licensure, certifications, experience, and other relevant skills. Additional information on our benefits package can be found at Life at Tetra Tech - Tetra Tech.
