Job summary

ThinkTek LLC, a federal contractor in Washington, seeks an experienced Contracting Specialist to support government acquisitions. You will assess requirements, recommend procurement strategies, and apply knowledge of IDIQs, BPAs, and FF, LH, and T&M contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 8+ years of relevant contracting experience.
• Fac III and/or FAC Professional certifications.
• Familiarity with FFP, FP with ECA, LH, and T&M contracts.
• Experience with IDIQ, BPAs, and related orders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with customer focus.
• Strong analytical and procurement strategy skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.

Senior Contracting Specialist

Position Description

ThinkTek is seeking an experienced Contracting Specialist to provide acquisition and procurement support to a federal government client. The successful candidate will assess contractual requirements, recommend procurement strategies and acquisition methods, and provide senior-level expertise to support government acquisition objectives. This role requires strong knowledge of federal contracting vehicles, contract types, and acquisition processes, along with excellent communication, research, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess contractual requirements and provide meaningful recommendations to support government acquisition objectives.

• Recommend procurement strategies, acquisition methods, and contracting approaches requiring senior-level expertise.

• Support the use of various federal acquisition mechanisms, including Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), and associated task, delivery, call, and purchase orders.

• Apply knowledge of government contract types, including Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Fixed-Price with Economic Price Adjustments, Labor Hour (LH), and Time-and-Materials (T&M) contracts.

• Provide acquisition and contracting expertise to assist the Government as needed.

• Collaborate effectively as an active team member and proactively identify requirements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Conduct internet research and utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications to support daily contracting activities.

• Utilize the FAA Enterprise Service Center (ESC) version of PRISM to support acquisition and contracting functions.

Required

• Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), or higher degree, or at least eight years of relevant contracting experience.

• Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) Level III and/or FAC Professional certification.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with federal government contracts, including FFP, Fixed-Price with Economic Price Adjustments, LH, and/or T&M contract types.

• Knowledge and experience with IDIQ contracts, BPAs, and associated task, delivery, call, and purchase orders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support customers and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess contractual requirements and recommend appropriate procurement strategies.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and Google Workspace applications, including Calendar, Sheets, Chat, Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive, and Meet.

• Strong internet research skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

• Knowledge of cost-type contracts.

• Experience with the FAA Enterprise Service Center (ESC) version of PRISM.

Pay Range

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,030 - $104,020. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data, and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
