Position Title: Sr. Content Marketing Strategist

Job ID: R-001296

Location: US AR Rogers Office

Posting Type: Full time

Description:

SPS Commerce is a leading provider of cloud-based supply chain management solutions, serving a global network of retail trading partners. We foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued. Join SPS Commerce and be part of a dynamic team that's transforming the global retail supply chain!

Position Summary:

The Sr. Content Marketing Strategist leads content strategy and execution across key audiences, campaigns, and initiatives, working independently under limited supervision, balancing competing priorities, advising cross-functional partners on content approach and channel strategy, mentoring other writers to raise the bar for content quality across the team, and pioneering new ways of working with AI. This role partners closely with AI engineers to prototype new content workflows, with marketing and business leadership to co-create a content vision for a core audience segment, and with a small group of cross-functional content creators to bring that vision to life. The ideal candidate is a builder and a teacher.

What You'll Do:
  • Design content plans for key audiences, initiatives, or programs, balancing competing priorities and ambiguous requests while quarterbacking a team of internal and external experts to create high-quality, multi-channel content.
  • Advise cross-functional partners on content approach and channel strategy, co-creating content strategy in direct partnership with marketing and business leadership.
  • Shape thought leadership themes for key domains, partnering with subject matter experts to create blogs, webinars, and other long-form thought leadership assets that bring SPS Commerce and Supply Chain topics to life.
  • Leverage sophisticated AI tools to increase velocity and value throughout the process, from defining content plans to publishing.
  • Lead new content initiatives and projects from planning through execution, building early proof points (flagship pieces, pilot series, or franchises) that demonstrate the value of investing further in a given content territory.
  • Partner directly with SPS's AI engineers to prototype, test, and refine new AI-assisted content workflows, from research and drafting to structured, machine-readable formats.
  • Run structured pilots on new AI tools and workflows, documenting what works, what doesn't, and why, before wider rollout.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to other writers on the team, helping onboard new content creators to SPS's editorial standards, AI workflows, and content vision.
Where You'll Work:

This role is based out of our Rogers, AR office, with an on-site presence expected several days a week to support close, virtual collaboration between content teammates and AI engineers, marketing leadership, and the broader content team. Our team #SucceedsTogether through in-office collaboration paired with flexibility to work remotely.

What You'll Bring:
  • 7+ years of prior relevant experience in content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or a related field, with a track record of senior individual-contributor impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and storytelling across formats and channels, with the ability to influence partners within and outside the immediate team.
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, or retail technology, with direct experience working with or for retailers/brands.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI and a track record of experimenting with new tools and workflows ahead of the broader team.
  • Proven ability to lead content initiatives independently, presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and incorporating their feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience designing content strategies for key audiences or initiatives, with an understanding of full-funnel marketing from thought leadership to demand generation.
  • Portfolio or project examples to demonstrate ability to create content for multiple channels and audiences, including web, email, social, and video.
  • Familiarity with SEO/AEO principles, content performance metrics, and testing/optimization frameworks.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business priorities into a clear, actionable content plan.
  • Strong editorial craft and experience mentoring or coaching other writers, with the proven ability to give constructive, specific feedback that helps others improve.
