Seeking an experienced HSE leader to provide interim leadership and strategic direction for Health, Safety, and Environmental operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Kansas. This role will focus on strengthening environmental compliance programs, mentoring the existing HSE team, and supporting wastewater treatment system implementation and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will bring senior-level HSE leadership experience, strong environmental compliance expertise, and the ability to drive initiatives forward in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interim leadership and mentorship to the site HSE team.
• Strengthen environmental compliance programs, procedures, and controls.
• Support wastewater treatment system implementation, startup, and operational readiness.
• Oversee environmental compliance related to wastewater, waste management, permits, and reporting.
• Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, and site leadership.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Support HSE operations within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Senior HSE leadership experience as an HSE Manager, Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director.
• Strong environmental compliance and program implementation expertise.
• Experience with wastewater treatment operations or environmental infrastructure projects.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven team leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

Sterile/aseptic manufacturing, site expansion, R&D-to-commercial manufacturing transitions, and interim leadership experience.
