Sr. Consultant - OT Network Architect | Remote, USA

Our consultants are skilled technical and consultative resources, proficient in both technical and soft skills. A Consultant must be a self-starter capable of problem-solving, effective communication, participating in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interfacing with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establishing and maintaining productive, respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management is essential.

You will contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives, deliver timely engagements, and work closely with Practice Directors on training, education, career development, performance, and team collaboration. Ensuring work meets Optiv’s quality standards through reviews is also part of your role.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Deliver independently or serve as the "point" for complex projects
  • Lead OT segmentation strategy discussions and assessments
  • Create documentation for OT segmentation standards and reports
  • Lead capacity planning and hardware specification recommendations
  • Lead deployment activities for cyber-physical solutions and networking technologies, including connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow setup, and third-party system integration
  • Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support
  • Communicate effectively within the team
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional associations such as ISSA
  • Obtain and maintain top-tier networking vendor certifications
  • Complete administrative tasks like time and expense reporting, status updates, and project completion reports
  • Contribute to Optiv communities for solutions of focus
What We’re Looking For
  • Approximately 4-7 years of experience in OT architecture
  • Experience with frameworks like CPWE, ISA 62443, NIST 800-82, or similar
  • Knowledge of security concepts, vulnerability assessments, data classification, incident response, security policies, architectures, and governance
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, OSI), OS fundamentals (Windows, UNIX), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS), and scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
  • Familiarity with operating systems, virtual environments, mainframe security, and relational databases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across functions
  • Negotiation and consensus-building skills
  • Multitasking ability
  • Willingness to travel; valid US driver’s license
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ preferred
