A leading technology infrastructure company is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple data center construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale, mission-critical builds managing timelines, budgets, quality, and team performance. Locations Atlanta, Jersey, Chicago, Virginia, Mississippi, Michigan, Philadelphia, Louisiana.
This position requires deep experience in managing data center construction projects with a strong emphasis on MEP systems, along with a robust understanding of infrastructure components including power, cooling, and redundancy systems. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the owner's representative on data center construction sites, overseeing the work of general contractors, coordinating with design teams, and managing key vendor relationships.
Lead all phases of construction from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring deliverables align with technical specifications and client expectations.
Administer and enforce construction contracts with a focus on minimizing risk, managing costs, and maintaining construction standards.
Oversee scheduling, quality control, commissioning (particularly electrical and low-voltage systems), and change management processes.
Ensure seamless coordination across contractors, suppliers, and developers to prevent schedule delays or interference.
Collaborate with stakeholders to review changes, assess timeline implications, and ensure all regulatory and planning requirements are addressed.
Deliver detailed progress reports to internal leadership and client teams, highlighting risks, performance metrics, and corrective actions as needed.
Champion safety, quality assurance, and performance across all aspects of construction execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, including at least 3+ years focused specifically on data center builds.
Strong foundation in MEP systems, commissioning processes, and critical infrastructure delivery.
Proven ability to lead high-value projects ($100M+), manage cross-functional teams, and drive results.
Solid knowledge of project management tools and platforms (Procore, PMWeb, Primavera, etc.).
Experience overseeing contractor performance, bid processes, budget forecasting, and procurement.
PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
LEED accreditation is a plus.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Must be comfortable with up to 50% domestic travel.
