Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead CSA execution for large data center projects. You will own the critical path, drive milestone sign-offs, and coordinate with the Sr CM (MEP) and project team on sequencing and site logistics.

The role requires 12+ years in construction management, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore and scheduling tools. On‑site five days per week near Sparks, NV, with responsibility for safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent owner‑side leadership experience.
  • 12+ years of construction management experience, especially for heavy civil earthwork or large-scale projects.
  • Proven record leading CSA delivery with major trade packages and tight schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency auditing complex structures and interpreting heavy industrial contracts.
  • Experience leading direct reports (e.g., Construction Managers) on complex site scopes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Procore (or equivalent), Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

  • Scope Sign-Off: lead progress evaluations, owner inspections, and milestone sign-offs.
  • Engineering & Quality Oversight: audit CSA installations against specs and quality benchmarks.
  • Permit & Code Verification: ensure GC compliance with codes and permits.
  • Change Management: review CSA submittals, RFIs, and field changes in Procore.
  • Turnover Readiness: ensure CSA documentation and punch lists for handover.

Technical & Quality Oversight
  • Engineering & Quality Assurance: Audit and verify CSA installations comply with Fleet design documents, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
  • Permit & Code Verification: Verify GC compliance with local building codes, municipal permitting, and environmental standards for CSA scopes.
  • Change Management: Review, validate, and disposition CSA technical submittals, RFIs, and field changes through Procore.
  • Supply Chain & OFCI Readiness: Align sitework, foundation pours, and structural steel readiness with long-lead OFCI delivery and rigging.
  • Turnover Readiness: Validate CSA quality documentation and punch-list completion for seamless technical handover.
Budget, Team & Risk
  • CSA Budget Stewardship: Own and forecast the CSA discipline budget, contingencies, and cash flow within the campus capital budget owned by the Director.
  • Procurement & Change Orders: Provide senior technical expertise in RFPs and onboarding; audit and negotiate CSA change orders.
  • Lead the CSA Team: Direct and develop the CSA Construction Manager(s); serve as primary CSA interface to internal leadership, the GC’s CSA leadership, and consultants.
  • Safety & Risk: Drive an incident‑free safety culture and proactively mitigate complex site conditions, logistics bottlenecks, and fast‑tracked schedules.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, OR equivalent practical owner‑side field leadership experience.
  • 12+ years of construction management experience, including significant time representing an owner/operator or developer with a focus on heavy civil earthwork, deep foundations, high‑volume structural steel, or complex building envelopes on large‑scale, fast‑tracked projects.
  • Proven track record leading CSA delivery and enforcing performance on major trade packages, contracts, and schedules for mission‑critical or heavy industrial projects.
  • Advanced proficiency auditing complex structural plans, validating soil/concrete quality specifications, and interpreting heavy industrial contracts.
  • Experience leading direct reports (e.g., Construction Managers) on complex site scopes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Procore (or equivalent), Microsoft Office Suite, and construction scheduling software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on data center or mission‑critical facilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Detail‑oriented self‑starter comfortable in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.

Salary Expectations

$175,000 - 215,000 + Discretionary Bonus
